A different kind of conversation
Imagine your Hong Kong LP meetings are in the diary. Before booking the return flight, you have a choice: head straight home, or make room for a different kind of conversation in Shenzhen.
The useful question is not how many famous companies you can fit into a day. It is what you would like to understand, experience or exchange—and whether your current plans already cover it.
Perhaps a product category interests your team. Perhaps you want to compare how a brand explains itself with how people actually use it. Or perhaps the point is cultural exchange: time in a neighbourhood, a meal and a perspective you would not get from another presentation room.
Those are different briefs. They deserve different days.
One or two Shenzhen days
A company visit can anchor the programme, when a relevant host agrees to receive you. Public retail spaces and products can offer another setting for observation. Food, design and local conversation need not be squeezed into the evening as an afterthought.
One additional day creates a focused introduction. Two can leave more room to compare settings and discuss what stood out. Neither is a promise of investment insight, proprietary deal flow or technical due diligence.
Personally hosted. Privately commissioned.
Futurebound Private shapes paid, privately commissioned Shenzhen extensions around your interests and existing itinerary. Eric X.D. Tan personally hosts the programme, bringing experience across Riot Games, Sony Music Entertainment and Electronic Arts, a Western business lens and English, Cantonese and Mandarin support.
Before planning, establish your dates, who is coming, what is already arranged and whether a paid programme fits. Company visits require individual host approval and availability. Senior access is not assumed; scope, fees, transport, dining and other additions are agreed separately.
