Independent Shenzhen programme · 2026 planning guide

Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026.
A private Shenzhen brief.

A panel can introduce a thesis. A private day in Shenzhen can help you decide what to examine next. Futurebound designs a separately commissioned programme for investors who want focused company or industry conversations, product context and a candid debrief outside their conference schedule.

The organiser lists Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK for 2–6 November 2026, with the main conference at HKCEC on 2–3 November. Its own Shenzhen Immersive Executive Tour is listed for 4–5 November. Check your pass and the current official agenda before planning additional days.

Official event FAQ: dates, main conference and Shenzhen tour

Event dates are not Futurebound availability. No event affiliation, ticket, accreditation or guaranteed company access is implied.

First check what your event already includes.

The official event already offers a Shenzhen programme. If that route answers your question, use it. Futurebound is not a ticket upgrade, official side event or substitute sold under the event’s name.

A private brief makes sense when a fund or portfolio team needs a different sector focus, a smaller discussion, a flexible date or more time to interpret what it sees. We begin with what you have already arranged, then identify the gap worth commissioning separately.

Where does a product become a habit?

For a venture or growth team: examine the relationship between a device, its software and the customer behaviour around it. Public flagship retail can sharpen questions about distribution and adoption; it cannot establish retention or unit economics.

What is operational beyond the demo?

For an AI or robotics brief: request a relevant conversation about deployment, maintenance and the buyer’s workflow. Separate what a host demonstrates from what still needs independent validation.

What might travel across markets?

For a portfolio leader: connect a product or platform idea to distribution, language and cultural expectations at home. Eric’s games and music operating background is especially relevant where content, audiences and technology meet.

One possible working dayIllustrative · Scope and hosts agreed before payment
01

Morning · Test the question against products

A private briefing followed by selected Xiaomi or Huawei public retail, where suitable. Compare the user experience, product mix and cultural cues. Store access is not corporate-office access.

02

Afternoon · A conversation with context

One relevant company or industry discussion, only if individually approved in advance. The host, topic and format follow your brief, not a promise of access to every company in the news.

03

Close · Separate observation from inference

Debrief what you saw, what was said and what remains unverified. Leave with sharper follow-up questions for your own team. Food, design or a neighbourhood stop can add context without turning the day into a checklist.

Before fixing the diaryTiming · Fit · Separate scope

Protect the conference diary

Share the sessions, official tours and meetings you intend to keep. Build a Shenzhen day before or after those commitments, not on the assumption that the whole week is free.

Scope the crossing separately

Confirm Mainland entry requirements with the appropriate authority. The final route depends on your hotel, border arrangements and onward travel; a train journey is not the same as door-to-door travel time. Private transport is separately quoted.

Request one useful conversation

Send the investment theme, participant roles and the question not covered by your existing programme. Three to four weeks is the preferred minimum for a single company request, not a promise of approval.

This is business-programme planning, not investment or immigration advice. Confirm applicable entry requirements with the relevant official authority. Photographs illustrate the city, not event participation or confirmed access.

The essentials.

Is this the official Hong Kong FinTech Week Shenzhen tour?

No. Futurebound Private is an independent, paid private programme. The organiser lists its own Shenzhen Immersive Executive Tour for 4–5 November 2026. Conference tickets, official tours and Futurebound programmes are separate bookings.

Can I add one private Shenzhen day to FinTech Week?

You can request a day around your confirmed conference commitments. Feasibility depends on your dates, Mainland entry arrangements, route and host approval. No date or company conversation is reserved by sending an enquiry.

Can Futurebound arrange meetings with fintech founders or investors?

Share the business question and the type of counterpart you need. Futurebound will assess fit and be explicit about what can be requested. Founder, fund, regulator and portfolio-company introductions are not guaranteed, and a paid programme does not purchase access.
